Irene Rawlings is the editor of Mountain Living magazine and loves fly-fishing. She hangs a willy-nilly clothesline. Andrea VanSteenhouse is author of several books, including A Woman's Guide to a Simpler Life. She hangs an uncomplicated clothesline. Photographer David Foxhoven carefully separates his lights and darks, smooths and fuzzies. Jason McConathy, also a photographer, remembers everything his mother told him but hangs a renegade clothesline. Loneta Showell, art director, learned how to hang out the laundry in windy Wyoming where her mother still hangs a "proper" line.
